Zeroid Intensive skin care was designed for those with extremely dry, sensitive, and reactive skin. These products strive to soothe, nourish, and beautify skin that cannot typically tolerate mainstream skin care products. 

Zeroid Intensive accomplishes this with a unique blend of natural and proprietary ingredients that work together to nourish and soothe the skin, including:

MLE—Multi-lamellar emulsion, known simply as MLE, mimics the structure of the skin's natural barrier in order to reinforce said barrier. MLE improves skin barrier function in order to reduce transepidermal water loss and improve overall skin hydration. 

MLE helps to reduce sensitivity and irritation caused by environmental stressors and other factors while helping to improve the texture of the skin, making it feel smoother and softer to the touch.

Madecassoside—Derived from the Centella Asiatica plant, madecassoside helps to repair and regenerate the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and promoting a more youthful, radiant complexion. Centella Asiatica itself is known for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, making it great for sensitive skin.

Zinc Gluconate—Zinc is excellent at soothing irritation while reducing redness and inflammation. Its calling card, though, is limiting excess sebum production while simultaneously addressing flakiness. This means that zinc is perfect for those struggling with rosacea, sensitivity-induced breakouts, and other inflammatory skin concerns.

Defensamide - works to help to reinforce the skin barrier, which can reduce transepidermal water loss and improve overall skin hydration. Lastly, Defensamide has been shown to have anti-aging properties, including the ability to stimulate collagen production and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Ceramides—These lipids are essential for maintaining a healthy skin barrier, which helps to keep moisture in and irritants out. Ceramides also play a crucial role in maintaining the overall health and appearance of the skin.

Squalane—Squalene with an e is one of the components of human skin lipids. In fact, squalene is found in nearly all plants and animals, and is used by living things to lubricate and protect natural structures. Squalene imparts long lasting lubrication in the form of moisture, and is a main component of sebum aka skin oil.

Sourcing squalene ranges from unethical to impractical, plus natural squalene isn’t stable enough for use in skin care products anyway. That’s where squalane comes in.

Squalane with an a is a hydrogenated form of squalene. This allows it to remain stable, and keeps it from oxidizing long enough to be used to benefit dry skin. Squalane is a near-identical match to natural squalene, which means that it is readily used by the skin to restore moisture and health.

Syn-Hycan—Syn-Hycan is a synthetic peptide that helps to boost the production of hyaluronic acid and collagen in the skin. Some benefits of Syn-Hycan for the skin include improving the skin's elasticity and firmness, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and stimulating the production of hyaluronic acid. Syn-Hycan also helps to reduce the appearance of sagging skin and improve facial contours, making it look more youthful and supple. 

Urea—Urea is a natural moisturizing factor (NMF) found in the skin that helps to maintain its moisture balance. It acts as a humectant, drawing moisture into the skin and protecting those hydration levels. 

Urea is also an excellent exfoliant without irritating sensitive skin, allowing it to promote cell turnover in order to improve the skin's texture and tone—all without causing sensitivity. These exfoliating properties also allow other products to penetrate more deeply into the skin by removing the dead skin cells that may inhibit product absorption.
